Going Nowhere and Yet All Places Being Able to See

No longer new places do I pine to see.

I’m quite content in my room to be.

I can see every place I want in my mind’s eye

To wherever I want to go, my mind can fly.

Sitting in my room and using my imagination,

In a flash I can go to every single nation.

I can travel this way across the universe,

Vast distances in a moment I can thus traverse.

And so, I no longer pine to travel anywhere

Since I can get there while sitting in my chair.

And when the desire to travel comes to my mind,

A most easy way to do so I can now find,

And that is, in my mind’s eye simply to see

My setting off on that desired journey,

And arriving at the place I want to be

In less than a moment, in a mere jiffy,

Without getting up from my comfortable chair,

A hassle-free journey, without a single care!

Travelling where I want, and all for free,

Oh what a way to travel, a great discovery!

Going nowhere and yet all places being able to see

Now you know why the travel bug no longer haunts me!
