What was Your Creation Plan

When long ago You created man

And the rest of this universe

That’s so vast and so diverse,

And perhaps a multiverse also, too,

All beings and things made by You?

It’s all such a grand mystery,

Astounding in its immensity,

No answer we offer can satisfy

Our curiosity to know why.

Try as hard as we folks might,

It will remain out of our sight,

Unless You decide with us to share,

This secret of Yours to lay bare.

Maybe You will, some distant day.

Or maybe You won’t, come what may.

One day, perhaps You will decide

In us this Your secret to confide.

Or perhaps You’ll never ever do so,

So that it forever only You will know.

I may be wrong but I seem to feel

Someday the answer You may reveal,

Unveiling before us, at last, finally,

The mystery You’ve hidden so carefully.

Oh my! How amazed perhaps I would be

If and when You share this secret with me!
